Vamos a Peru pronto, yo prometo July 22, 2024

Hey yall, back at it again as usual, pretty slow week but also good! -Had interviews with President Macpherson at the mission home after district council this last Wednesday, and they went super well! It's pretty cool to just wait a couple of minutes for your interview as you see Elder Rasbands grandkids messing around with their poodle dog lol. Their family is so righteous and awesome! Their son got set apart by Elder Rasband himself and is leaving in like 2 days to Costa Rica! We talked about my situation with my visa still on if I'm ready to go and he told me that it's my choice whether I want to stay here or go to Perú. Obviously Perú but I still was unsure since if it was the right time or not. He told me to pray about it what would be the best decision cause he doesn't want me in a limbo state anymore, me too lol. Not long after I got spiritual confirmation that God is giving me the choice, and he'll work with me either way, pretty cool that God loves and respects our agency and will help us wherever we're at! So I told President that I want to go to Perú, wooo! Really excited! So that's that. -We were supposed to have a baptism tomorrow for Damaris, one of our friends on date but it was a little disappointing yesterday cause she told us that her boss wouldn't let her have time off to come to church, so we had to postpone. Good news is that she's already been baptized before in Venezuela, it's just that they can't find her records anywhere so has to be rebaptized. We're planning this Thursday or Saturday to have her baptism, pray that nothing gets in the way of that 🙏 - Had exchanges with the ZLs and was with Elder Cartagena for the day, he's pretty cool, and also Canadian 🇨🇦 we went to two weddings on the same day for our Branch and then the ZLs ward haha, super fun! So we just watched people get married, ate food, and it was chill! Also we had a good lesson that night with a family who's learning more about the church 🙌 -Other than that, twas a slow week and doing the usual. Trying to find more people, get more lessons, and build up this area as best we can. We also need prayers for one of our most progressing friends Manuel who we were teaching cause he suddenly stopped responding to us and hasn't been coming to church, we were helping him prep for baptism. Also need prayers for our other past progressing friend Alberto, he's got alzheimers and has trouble remembering things and just needs to remember to pray and ask God if the Book of Mormon and the Church is true, so pray up ya filthy animals! Spiritual thought 🔥 Don't really have a scripture to share particulary but I want to just testify super quick about the power of the covenants we make with God and Jesus Christ. Covenants are the best way to make life easier but not to say life will be easy, just as our living prophet Russell M Nelson has said. It's blessed me immensely to make and keep my covenants with God and I feel like I don't have to be alone in this confusing and chaotic world we live in. Angels really will help us! So I invite all of you to be all-in with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make covenants if you haven't already and if you already have, then keep them.
