January 19, 2024 2nd Week!

Hey Mom! I hope you're not to worried about me, everything here has been great at the MTC, it's been quite the adjustment and been hard but nonetheless, it's awesome to be an Elder haha. I've just been going to my classes with Hermana Harris, Hermana Merrill, and Hermano Avarell.  Hermana Harris is my Gospel doctrine teacher, hermana Merrill is our spanish teacher although we are getting a new spanish teacher because we're going into full spanish immersion starting tomorrow which is crazy lol. Hermano avarell is also another one of our gospel teachers, he's pretty cool. My espanol has been getting better, although it's really choppy still. I can recite the First Vision and Missionary purpose in Spanish, it's actually not that hard. I can sort've pray in Spanish too but the hard part is connecting all the words together correctly and using the right form and conjugation for each word, it's harder than I thought it was lol, but I know I'll get it down as long as I have the Spirit with me and the Gift of Tongues (: Me and Elder Mills get along great although sometimes I remember that I'm with a 18 year old missionary so the maturity level is different lol but he's cool, we do a lot of practices in class like we're teaching investigators and it seems like we get better and better each time. We have to get used to teaching people in all sorts of scenarios like people with no Christian backgrounds, people who want more purpose in their life, etc. My district is really funny, we mess around a lot outside of class but we are also very mature too when it comes to getting serious, it's a good mix! The MTC is gorgeous and the mountains are awesome here like always, we've had a lot of snow and it's been a bit cold. Me and Elder Mills went to the gym a couple times this last week and played volleyball, pickleball with our other companions, and basket ball, it's a good gym but sometimes I wish I could stay there longer to play cause it's fun. I got my haircut and I look sharp haha, the barbers here don't butcher your hair lol you and Brett were wrongMy hair looks NICE. Well, I've gotta do my laundry and I'll videochat you later.
