Week 13! Pascua! April 1 2024

Hola mi familia y amigos!

Another week in the Mission field! Woooooo! I'm loving Virginia so far! We had our transfers this week and I got a new companion! His name is Elder Perez and he's a pretty cool guy, he's from Mexico and is pretty cracked at Spanish, he also speaks English really well! So hopefully I'm gonna get cracked at it. I said Goodbye to Elder Mauseth and it was pretty weird dejavu to go to the same chapel building when I first came from the MTC as a greenie lol.

As far as how everything's going, it's going pretty good! I am still I'm Occoquan River B Zone and I really like it here, our ward is super nice and they give us rides to activities throughout the week if need be. We ended up being late to English class cause I didn't judge the time right and we couldn't find a ride lol, so we biked for an hour to the church and they finished as soon as we got there πŸ˜„ pero no importa, nuestro Barrio was having an Easter activity and it worked out haha. Elder Perez was able to meet the ward and introduce himself (btw he's been on his mission for 21 months so far). We also still have the Pristow Elders give us rides sometimes so that we don't have to bike for too long.

It's kinda been weird though cause in a way I'm leading our area (now that Elder Perez is here) as to what friends were contacting every day and which members we're seeing. So that's cool I guess πŸ€·‍♂️ I still feel like a newbie haha, and like I don't exactly know what we're doing pero esta bien πŸ‘

We did have another great ward activity for easter on Saturday night cause I think our ward had its anniversary for how long the building there has been established, I can't remember the number lol but it was over 100 years or so. There was food, cake, and then all the members were busting open a pinata in the gym and it was pretty funny haha. We mainly went there to practice singing in church for Easter, we sang himnio 122, "Cristo ha resucitado" it was muy bonito πŸ‘Œ We had a great sacrament on Sunday and a lot of people showed up and it was very spiritual, I was also able to just go around with Elder Perez and start remembering members names as we were talking with them cause I usually forget lol.

Other than that, we found some people yesterday and were able to add them to our daily contacts and we have some potential with some of our friends πŸ‘ we're hoping we can get two baptisms this month as our goal, I think we can do that πŸ™‚ anyway!

Our mission president has been pressing lately to increase our personal relationship with the Savior and His enabling and atoning power in our lives, we can do all things through Christ's Atonement and He was resurrected so that we may also be resurrected. I know He lives! He is the way, the truth, and the life! ❤️ I love Jesus Christ and His Gospel πŸ˜Š in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Love yall! Hope you guys are doing well at home, here's some pics from the last week, Chao! ✌️

P.S. we found a frog πŸΈ
