Still here in DC. June 3 2024
Hola Familia, amigos y Distrito! Como están?
This week was a doozy, that's for sure! Let's just say I've reevaluated and have made good changes, and they've been good ones lol. Don't worry I'm fine, it was just a rough one.
Anyway, we had exchanges with Elder Chapman and Elder Loose, I was with Elder Chapman and it was pretty alright. Just knocked a ton of doors and set some lessons up. Fue bueno.
We're trying to get our most progressing friend named Alberto to church, he lives in the trailers where we always go to. Such a cool 86 year old man. Can't go to church cause he's got health problems but he lives it when we come over and read/study the Book of Mormón with him. He's got alzheimers and is forgetting things more and more but everytime we come over, he seems to remember more. He's definitely gonna get baptized at some point but if not in this life, for sure the next life

Also, this week was a reevaluation week for me and Elder Paxton cause I guess we haven't been doing things super well and got level set by President at interviews this week. Funnnn. But I'm just focusing on my missionary purpose and my head is here in DC. Also I found out my visa may or may not be here, it's probably here, i found out in my interview with President cause I asked him about an update and he said that it got here 3-4 weeks ago. That definitely threw me for a loop cause I never got informed, but it turns out that President thought he sent me a message and that I got it but I actually never received anything, fue loco. It's all good though. The reason I'm not leaving yet is cause I've been on medication for quite some time and I've been off of it for about 2 weeks now, they've just been watching my health very closely and want to make sure that before they send me to Peru, that I'm in stable condition while off the meds. Cause the resources aren't the same there. Missionary medical has to approve it so I'm probably gonna be waiting one or two more transfers here in DC before I get an answer. They might approve it, they might not. I honestly feel fine as of now. President did tell me something that I needed to hear, he told me "It's not where you serve, it's how you serve" I've been having that as my quote now and it's changed my perspective, my head is here in DC and I'm serving the Lord and His children the best I can. Whether I stay here in DC or go to Perú or wherever, it's a pleasure to serve the Lord. Although Perú is still in my mind, not saying that that's not a possibility lol.
Anyway, Me and Elder Paxton have better attitudes going into this next week and just helping people Come unto Christ
Having a good attitude and good effort as a missionary brings miracles as what Elder Renlund told us in his visit to the mission a couple months ago and it's very true.

That's kinda it, sorry there wasn't too many crazy miracles or things that happened this week but also, very funny last thing that happened today. We went with Elder Larson and Elder Meeks and got haircuts at this $5 barber shop in Annandale today and this Korean lady just absolutely 0 blended my hair on the sides and back, so funny bro
I've got pics to just see for yourself.

Hope life is treating you all well, don't be afraid to send me an email or message now and then you goobers, I promise I read all of them and appreciate them, I just suck at responding. Anyways Chao!
