Basher week lol. May 20 2024

Yo yo yooooo, what's up everyone! Hope yall have had a good week! Everything goings alright here in Cub Run and I'll just get right into it! 


We had Zone Conference this last week and it was good! Way more spiritually uplifting this time and it was all about building our faith un Jesus Christ through all our contacts and other activities of missionary work and yeah! Pretty straightforward! 

You might be wondering why my email is titled the way it is so I guess I'll get right into it. So there's been this lady that has come to church and our Mothers Day ward party that self referred herself to the missionaries and was super nice when we met her and everything, so we were stoked to be able to start teaching her! So we visited her house and get to her front door and she answers and we realize that we actually needed a guy present in the house which we didn't think about, so we told her we were really sorry and that we could do another time, but we actually ended up just beginning the lesson at her front door. So Elder Paxton basically explained the Book of Mormon and how it came from the Americas and then afterwards asked "Oh did you want this?" And then she's like "Uh no" and then we were like oh great 🙃 turns out she's super catholic and was trying to explain to us that God and the Spirit were the same person and how it's just a complete mystery over the whole thing lol. Everytime we tried to talk, she just would not let us lol. She was definitely interested in coming to church and stuff because she likes meeting people and basically just going to church just to go lol, like "Hey! I'm a good person cause I go to church!" Type of attitude haha. So we were definitely thrown off by that. Then something even crazier happened yesterday at church, she ended up coming to church again and once sacrament finished we all went to Sunday School, and guess what the topic of the class was... The Trinity! Lol and how God Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are three separate beings haha. Our Sunday school teacher was literally like Jesus throwing up all the tables in the temple, she was just laying it down that they were three separate beings. The lady was not having it and actually started to bash the teacher saying "it's a mystery"! But our teacher pretty much shhed her and kept teaching, turns out even new members were like learning and understanding the difference as well cause they were asking a lot of questions about it, so it was very necessary, the lady ended up leaving and we know shes not coming back. it was the craziest Sunday school I've ever gone to lol! 

Apart from that we did some service for the Familia Alvarez and helped them move a ton of furniture 👍😁 
Also after church yesterday we went to a members house and had some bomb lasagna with salad, it was bussin💪

Hey yall, back at it again as usual, pretty slow week but also good! -Had interviews with President Macpherson at the mission home after district council this last Wednesday, and they went super well! It's pretty cool to just wait a couple of minutes for your interview as you see Elder Rasbands grandkids messing around with their poodle dog lol. Their family is so righteous and awesome! Their son got set apart by Elder Rasband himself and is leaving in like 2 days to Costa Rica! We talked about my situation with my visa still on if I'm ready to go and he told me that it's my choice whether I want to stay here or go to Perú. Obviously Perú but I still was unsure since if it was the right time or not. He told me to pray about it what would be the best decision cause he doesn't want me in a limbo state anymore, me too lol. Week 25 June 24, 2024

I got sent to Peru!! Haha, jk, I'm still here in Cub Run heheheh Hopefully I didn't give you a heart attack Mom. Anyway, this week was great!!I loved it! I'll relax some of the highlights! It was transfers and me and Elder Paxton are still comps here in Cub Run! Elder Larson left Cub Run B and we have Elder Ulloa here now Me and Elder Paxton got one of our friends to church, his name is Luis, dude is so down to earth and we weren't even expecting him to come cause all I sent him was a good morning message and how he's been, so that was a mini miracle! He didn't stay the whole time cause I think he had work and his Kids to get back to but good news is that he's interested in coming back with his whole family next week! We're hoping to start teaching them and get them baptized cause they are so nice and down to earth and ready for the gospel! We went to Panda Express with Hermano Loza on transfer day to welcome Elder Ulloa into the Branch...

Week 26, July 1 2024. New President

Hey yall, I'm chillin out here in DC still. Here's the deets of the past week. Found 4 new Venezuelan friends in the trailers through literal coordination from God, It was pretty sick, we had a fire Spirit filled lesson with them on the restoration. They have lots of potential but they just need to set up with us again and respond to our messages instead of just read them.We got 5 friends to church! Luis came back again with a family member this time, now we just need to find a way to teach him when he has time off from work through out the week. We're probably gonna have to just teach him through videocall or texts somehow. Fue bueno! Also, we saw William Starley at church with his family(aka Elder Starley) that was sick! It was a great reunión afterwards and it was good seeing one of the most legendary Elders to grace the mission.
