2nd mission email 2 Feb 2024

Hola Mi Familias y amigos, it is nice to see and read your emails throughout the week, it gives me a lot of support and motivation through being a missionary and working hard to be the best I can be. I wish I could respond to all your emails individually;but it's way too time consuming lol and it's easier to put y'all in one big group email, just know that I do read every single one and I really do appreciate it and see it (:This week was pretty difficult just cause;I'm still adjusting to being; missionary on the busy schedule here at the MTC and we are full immersion in Spanish for our classes, breakfast;with my district, and the building where we have classes and whenever we're walking outside. The language is coming easier;to me little by little but it can get frustrating when I want to express myself but I have to try in Espanol first. It is nice to be able to speak English whenever I can though but it's gonna be hard for our last week here because we set a district goal to go a little more full immersion every week, the last week is gonna be full on and I'm not ready haha. It will be fun and I'm gonna go into it with a positive;attitude, that always makes it easier. I really can't wait to get out to the field though because then I'll actually be talking to real members and investigators, and I know I'll learn the Spanish much faster with my companion.Me and My district have a lot of fun throughout the week also, we're always cracking jokes with each other in Spanish and quoting funny movie references and it's gold. My district says I look like Mr. Incredible or Gordon Ramsey even though I'm not blonde lol or have a massive jawline haha. Me and my companion Elder Mills and our room companions Elder Hulse and Elder Brown go to the gym every day and play pickleball, basketball, volleyball, and foursquare, it's pretty dope! I thought I was going to be playing more basketball but I actually have been playing a lot more pickleball, it's actually really fun. We also had another devotional this week and we always go and sing in the choir and it always sounds so legendary with all the Elders and Sisters haha, I'm gonna miss that a lot about the MTC and hearing from a general authority. This week it was broadcasted and we thought it was gonna be an apostle but it was actually S. Mark Palmer of the Presidency of the Seventy who regularly meets with the apostles every week which is so cool! He delivered a powerful message on Repentance and how we need to teach people that it's a positive principle in the Gospel that brings joy and peace. Every devotional has a very beautiful spirit and I'll cherish these memories for sure. I wish I could take pictures but they advise not to take out your phone and so I don't. Other than that I really do know the Lord is by my side every step of the way. He always has been and I'm just opening my spiritual eyes more and more to His presence. The Lord really does stand with open arms to all of us as God's children on the earth and wants us to live with Him and Heavenly Father in the celestial kingdom after this life for all eternity with our families and loved ones. We had the opportunity to be witnesses in sealing many ancestors to their families and it was beautiful. He loves us infinitely and died for each of us. I'm so grateful for His atonement in my life and His love for me. I love being a missionary and an Elder! haha. I hope everything in your lives whether it be family or friends, is going well and are looking to the Lord in all your doings. I pray for you and think about you. Pray for me for strength and motivation to learn Spanish and to press forward with a steadfastness in Christ always. I love you all! Have a great week! Elder Fielding (:
